Little bubba Eva

Eva is now 20 months old and everyone just adores her and can't get enough of her. We're always saying "isn't she just so cute?" We love her little body. And we love when her hair is on top of her head in a rubberband. Just about anything she wears we're always saying " isn't she so cute in those clothes?" But really it's just she's at a super cute age. I always love the 18-month Mark with babies because of all the words they're saying and how they walk. Eva started walking late, around 17 months and 1 week, so she just got that much cuter when she started walking. She knows everybody's name, although she really struggled to say Luke's name, but she finally just started saying "woo" for Luke, and is repeating almost everything that we say. For a while she was saying thank you "dant too" all the time when she wanted something, so I think she thought it meant " please can I have some." But she has finally realized that thank you is what you say after somebody gives you something. And she is so good at saying it on her own without being reminded, it's super cute. She is always trying to tell us stuff in her own way even though we only understand a few words out of her sentence. If we whisper to her, she loves to Whisper back. She really understands just about everything we say to her, and even there she's our sixth child, and they have all done this, we are always surprised when they understand us so well and when they know people's names on their own so quickly.

She can be a little stingy with her kisses, and hugs. But when she does give a kiss, it's super cute. she says, "mmm...maa" Everyone is always saying she's the cutest baby we've ever had, but I think we've said that about every one of our babies at this age. We also say that she has the best smile, but again I think we've said that about everyone. We get so excited to get her out in the morning cuz she's just so excited to start a new day and happy. She loves her family.

See is also a huge eater right now, and I often find her trying to sneak food, so I have to spank her hand if she doesn't ask. A lot of times she'll be looking at me hoping I don't catch her, but I think in reality she really wants me to catch her because she knows what she is doing is wrong because discipline makes a baby feel secure. After Halloween she was eating tons of candy, any candy she could find. I noticed she was even rummaging through the trash for any scraps. she definitely seems to be our loudest baby so far, trying to be heard, especially at the dinner table. I'm hoping this means she will be a singer, cuz she really can project her voice well.

Max calls her little bubba Eva, and I often call her little Eva Mae, or just mae mae, and Max's song for her is "my little bubba Eeeva, my bubba Eeeva, she's my little cootie pie.... bubba Eeeva, a bubba Eeeva, and I love her till I die"

She has always been very leery of men, and it takes her a little while to warm up to them. In fact she still won't go to chup pop to give him a hug or kiss, although she's always talking about him and saying "poppy". you can tell she finally is happy to be around him, but doesn't want to get too close. She is the first one of our kids that it's taken this long to warm up to poppy.

She always knows what belongs to each of her siblings, and will often bring me something and say their name. She just brought us a shoe and said, "Isaac." She just loves to bring us stuff. But usually she will obey right away when we tell her to put it back or when we tell her to clean up her mess. Right now she is probably the best one at cleaning up without complaining.
