Miriam and James games

 The sick game:

I'm this girl, that is really cold and really sick.  I just come to this guy's (James's) house to get warm and then he pretends to take care of me for a long time and then he gives me a drink of water, and then while I'm drinking it and I'm distracted, James turns into a robber, and then he takes me and he takes all of my necklaces and bracelets and captures me in a jail and I have to try and get out.

The Rolling game:
In this game, you turn on the second to last song (11th) of the ABC's cd.  We set up a blanket on the floor, and then we get in and we start rolling ourselves up inside the blanket together, and then we keep rolling for a long time, until the song ends.  But then we start rolling backwards, until we're both on the opposite sides and then we quickly roll back up and switch sides.

Brother and sister:
Basically, in brother and sister, the original, our parents died.  Our mom died when James was born and our dad died a year later from doing dangerous stuff in the military.  SO then we just go around, we're really poor, and outside in the cold.  We usually play this in December and November. James kills animals and goes hunting, and that's where we get our food, and then we go around with our little blankets, we sit on peoples porches and on the streets.  Finally we go to someone's house and then they let us stay there, and they say that they can teach us how to play really good songs on the piano and then we make up making our own really good cds, so we get really rich because everyone likes listening to them, and then we get a dog.

Sleeping pictures

I love sleeping pictures of the kids.  Here are some of my favorites.

Couch games

This morning I was playing a song from Dana Dirksen's cd "Do Not Be Afraid" and James said, "This makes me miss our old couch".  I asked what some of the games were that they played on the old couch and this is what they said.

The Boat Game:
"First, we put all the pillows on the floor, and then we climb on the boat and then we fall off of the boat."

King and Queen:
"We pile up pillows and we make it like a bed and then we get on it and we sleep on it. and its really fun."

The falling game:
"Me (Isaac) and Eva would go on one of the arms of the couch and then we would say "We're sittin on the bench, AHHH!" and then fall off.

The Kicking game:
"We would make a fort out of the pillows and the fort would be on the couch. And then I (Isaac) would roll on the yoga ball to the fort and then try and knock it down and then once it was knocked down, I would be able to get to James and try to pull him off, but then he would kick me.  We would keep trying to do that until I would pull him off."

Dunce Dunce Dunce:
"I(Isaac) was Dunce Dunce Dunce's dad and I taught him how to fight and everything, and then we had to fight in a war and in the war I got really badly wounded and the bad guys took me back to their castle and they fixed me but then they put this serum in me so that I would be on their side instead of the other side.  Most of the bad guys were all dead, but I made them come back to life with dark magic and then I had a ghost army.  Meanwhile, Dunce Dunce Dunce was being made king in the other kingdom.  Then the dark king (Dunce Dunce Dunce's dad) was coming to fight against the army of Dunce Dunce Dunce. And then we fight and we have power and we fight against pretend knights and stuff, and its really fun." This game is played to the Getty kid's song "O children Come".

The Spinning Game:
"So first, we get ready and we hold hands and then we spin and then Isaac swinged me, and that was really fun."

Miriam and James's games:
Come on Down:
James and I stand on the ledge of the green couch and then James says, "Come on down" and then holds my hand and pulls me down on the couch.  Then I do it to him, and it keeps on going like this. Then they roll off.

The Snowman game:
James and I stand on each side of the couch.  Then I start.  James has to slowly melt down, before I run to the other side of the couch and then I get a point if I save him (touch him) before he melts all the way down.  It gets harder and harder, and you melt faster and faster.  Then if you don't get there in time to catch the snowman (James) to make it go back up again, then you lose a point.
