Miriam and James games

 The sick game:

I'm this girl, that is really cold and really sick.  I just come to this guy's (James's) house to get warm and then he pretends to take care of me for a long time and then he gives me a drink of water, and then while I'm drinking it and I'm distracted, James turns into a robber, and then he takes me and he takes all of my necklaces and bracelets and captures me in a jail and I have to try and get out.

The Rolling game:
In this game, you turn on the second to last song (11th) of the ABC's cd.  We set up a blanket on the floor, and then we get in and we start rolling ourselves up inside the blanket together, and then we keep rolling for a long time, until the song ends.  But then we start rolling backwards, until we're both on the opposite sides and then we quickly roll back up and switch sides.

Brother and sister:
Basically, in brother and sister, the original, our parents died.  Our mom died when James was born and our dad died a year later from doing dangerous stuff in the military.  SO then we just go around, we're really poor, and outside in the cold.  We usually play this in December and November. James kills animals and goes hunting, and that's where we get our food, and then we go around with our little blankets, we sit on peoples porches and on the streets.  Finally we go to someone's house and then they let us stay there, and they say that they can teach us how to play really good songs on the piano and then we make up making our own really good cds, so we get really rich because everyone likes listening to them, and then we get a dog.

Sleeping pictures

I love sleeping pictures of the kids.  Here are some of my favorites.

Couch games

This morning I was playing a song from Dana Dirksen's cd "Do Not Be Afraid" and James said, "This makes me miss our old couch".  I asked what some of the games were that they played on the old couch and this is what they said.

The Boat Game:
"First, we put all the pillows on the floor, and then we climb on the boat and then we fall off of the boat."

King and Queen:
"We pile up pillows and we make it like a bed and then we get on it and we sleep on it. and its really fun."

The falling game:
"Me (Isaac) and Eva would go on one of the arms of the couch and then we would say "We're sittin on the bench, AHHH!" and then fall off.

The Kicking game:
"We would make a fort out of the pillows and the fort would be on the couch. And then I (Isaac) would roll on the yoga ball to the fort and then try and knock it down and then once it was knocked down, I would be able to get to James and try to pull him off, but then he would kick me.  We would keep trying to do that until I would pull him off."

Dunce Dunce Dunce:
"I(Isaac) was Dunce Dunce Dunce's dad and I taught him how to fight and everything, and then we had to fight in a war and in the war I got really badly wounded and the bad guys took me back to their castle and they fixed me but then they put this serum in me so that I would be on their side instead of the other side.  Most of the bad guys were all dead, but I made them come back to life with dark magic and then I had a ghost army.  Meanwhile, Dunce Dunce Dunce was being made king in the other kingdom.  Then the dark king (Dunce Dunce Dunce's dad) was coming to fight against the army of Dunce Dunce Dunce. And then we fight and we have power and we fight against pretend knights and stuff, and its really fun." This game is played to the Getty kid's song "O children Come".

The Spinning Game:
"So first, we get ready and we hold hands and then we spin and then Isaac swinged me, and that was really fun."

Miriam and James's games:
Come on Down:
James and I stand on the ledge of the green couch and then James says, "Come on down" and then holds my hand and pulls me down on the couch.  Then I do it to him, and it keeps on going like this. Then they roll off.

The Snowman game:
James and I stand on each side of the couch.  Then I start.  James has to slowly melt down, before I run to the other side of the couch and then I get a point if I save him (touch him) before he melts all the way down.  It gets harder and harder, and you melt faster and faster.  Then if you don't get there in time to catch the snowman (James) to make it go back up again, then you lose a point.

The Power

Luke is an evil villain with many super powers.  They live in ancient Japan, back when swords were the main weapon used.  His good brother has two sons.  Their entire family is gifted with power, but eventually the villain catches his brother unguarded, where the brother gets slaughtered mercilessly.  However, he has two sons which he sends to his father to be cared for.  The two boys grow up not knowing they are part of this magical family, until their grandfather explains to them their great power.  Then he trains them in the way of the ninja.  They eventually go after their evil uncle.

3 powers

Luke has the ability to read minds.  Andrew has super strength.  Isaac has super speed.  Together, they face many bad guys.

Rich guys

Three rich brothers gamble with the stakes high all the time.  But when they find a strange girl (Miriam)  who steals their money after claim to have a lot of money, they chase after her in an epic chase for their money, enduring hardships that they never could have imagined.

The elements

Three best friends, Luke, Andrew and Isaac walk into a museum.  At the museum, they find a strange exhibit.  It says its closed off,but they are too curious to leave it alone.  Inside, they find three strange green crystals.  They each pick one up, and before they can figure out what happened, a huge light explodes, and they find themselves back at their houses.  At first they think things are normal, and the next day, they go to school.  When they meet up, they talk about what happened, but don't think much of it.  Eventually, they notice strange things happening around them, such as Luke finding that the flames in his fireplace don't seem hot to him, even when he's sitting right next to it.  Or when Isaac goes ice skating, and he falls, the ice doesn't even scratch his knees.  Or Andrew, suddenly finding out he can lift heavier weights than he is used to.  They finally figure out that they each have been granted magical powers by the ancient green gems.  Luke has the power of fire, smoke, shadows, time and the wind.  Andrew has powers over earth (rock), mind, metal, gravity, and sound. Isaac discovers that he has power over lightning, light, speed, ice, and water.  Eventually, they figure out who sent those strange green items to the museum.  An evil man had tried to disrupt life for the people in New York.  Luke, andrew and Isaac all try to chase after this strange, devilish man who has far greater powers than they have.  They team up and have a huge battle.

Star wars; the true story

Luke Skywalker's two sons, Ben and Will, have to face their friend cal after he turns to the dark side.  Ben and Will chase Cal across the entire galaxy as Cal starts a second galactic civil war, trying to take over the galaxy.  Ben and will, however, finish their training with Yoda and try to chase Cal as he tries to start a new war.  They then rebuild the galactic army to face Cal's evil army of clones.  Eventually, Ben and Will find the ancient famous legends of the golden lightsabers, where they can finally face Cal's magical red blade. Only the most powerful jedi can wield the two golden blades.  There were originally four, but the first sith lord cast two of them into space.

Little bubba Eva

Eva is now 20 months old and everyone just adores her and can't get enough of her. We're always saying "isn't she just so cute?" We love her little body. And we love when her hair is on top of her head in a rubberband. Just about anything she wears we're always saying " isn't she so cute in those clothes?" But really it's just she's at a super cute age. I always love the 18-month Mark with babies because of all the words they're saying and how they walk. Eva started walking late, around 17 months and 1 week, so she just got that much cuter when she started walking. She knows everybody's name, although she really struggled to say Luke's name, but she finally just started saying "woo" for Luke, and is repeating almost everything that we say. For a while she was saying thank you "dant too" all the time when she wanted something, so I think she thought it meant " please can I have some." But she has finally realized that thank you is what you say after somebody gives you something. And she is so good at saying it on her own without being reminded, it's super cute. She is always trying to tell us stuff in her own way even though we only understand a few words out of her sentence. If we whisper to her, she loves to Whisper back. She really understands just about everything we say to her, and even there she's our sixth child, and they have all done this, we are always surprised when they understand us so well and when they know people's names on their own so quickly.

She can be a little stingy with her kisses, and hugs. But when she does give a kiss, it's super cute. she says, "mmm...maa" Everyone is always saying she's the cutest baby we've ever had, but I think we've said that about every one of our babies at this age. We also say that she has the best smile, but again I think we've said that about everyone. We get so excited to get her out in the morning cuz she's just so excited to start a new day and happy. She loves her family.

See is also a huge eater right now, and I often find her trying to sneak food, so I have to spank her hand if she doesn't ask. A lot of times she'll be looking at me hoping I don't catch her, but I think in reality she really wants me to catch her because she knows what she is doing is wrong because discipline makes a baby feel secure. After Halloween she was eating tons of candy, any candy she could find. I noticed she was even rummaging through the trash for any scraps. she definitely seems to be our loudest baby so far, trying to be heard, especially at the dinner table. I'm hoping this means she will be a singer, cuz she really can project her voice well.

Max calls her little bubba Eva, and I often call her little Eva Mae, or just mae mae, and Max's song for her is "my little bubba Eeeva, my bubba Eeeva, she's my little cootie pie.... bubba Eeeva, a bubba Eeeva, and I love her till I die"

She has always been very leery of men, and it takes her a little while to warm up to them. In fact she still won't go to chup pop to give him a hug or kiss, although she's always talking about him and saying "poppy". you can tell she finally is happy to be around him, but doesn't want to get too close. She is the first one of our kids that it's taken this long to warm up to poppy.

She always knows what belongs to each of her siblings, and will often bring me something and say their name. She just brought us a shoe and said, "Isaac." She just loves to bring us stuff. But usually she will obey right away when we tell her to put it back or when we tell her to clean up her mess. Right now she is probably the best one at cleaning up without complaining.
